Julie completed her nurse training in Northallerton in 1992. She worked on the General Medical units at both the Friarage and Freeman Hospitals and became a Night Sister/Nurse Practitioner.
In 2003 she moved to General Practice nursing. She has extensive experience of assisting vasectomy surgery, having done this at two different GP practices over the years. As part of her Practice Nurse role, Julie also developed an interest in respiratory conditions and helped to set up the Respiratory Diagnostic Service in West Northumberland.
In Julie’s own words:
“I have worked with Dr Fabricius and his community vasectomy team for several years as a Scrub Nurse and now I am thrilled to be part of an amazing team at Northern Medical Practitioners.
In my spare time I enjoy walking and beach combing for sea glass that I use in my artwork. I love meeting new people and love a good cup of tea.”
