Doctor-led Health Assessments Focused on Prevention

Our health assessments provide a structured medical evaluation of your current health and future cardiovascular risk. Each appointment combines clinical review, examination and targeted blood analysis, with interpretation grounded in established UK guidance.

For those choosing our Advanced Health Assessment, we offer a more detailed evaluation and enhanced prevention modelling. You receive a clear, personalised report with defined recommendations and next steps.

Health Assessment

A structured 30-minute doctor-led consultation focused on early identification of cardiometabolic risk. This includes medical history review, blood pressure measurement, BMI and waist assessment, focused cardiovascular examination and structured lifestyle discussion.

Blood analysis includes cholesterol profile, glucose control, kidney and liver function, thyroid testing and selected nutritional markers, providing a clear overview of your current health status. A dedicated 15-minute follow-up consultation reviews your results, calculates your 10-year cardiovascular risk and outlines practical, evidence-based recommendations.

Designed for individuals seeking a focused and clinically rigorous health review.

Advanced Health Assessment

A comprehensive 60-minute doctor-led consultation with extended clinical evaluation and detailed reporting. In addition to all elements of the Health Assessment, this includes a full systems review and a comprehensive physical examination covering all major organ systems, including cardiovascular, respiratory, abdominal and neurological assessment.

Blood analysis is expanded to include advanced cardiovascular markers and inherited risk factors, offering deeper insight into lipid profile and long-term risk. A dedicated 30-minute results consultation provides time for detailed interpretation, discussion of UK prevention guidance and consideration of enhanced prevention targets where appropriate. You receive a structured written report and personalised prevention strategy.

Suitable for individuals seeking a more detailed and proactive medical evaluation.

Cardiovascular Risk & Interpretation

Cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of preventable illness. We use validated UK risk models to estimate your 10-year cardiovascular risk and present the findings clearly and proportionately.

For patients undertaking the Advanced Health Assessment, we offer enhanced interpretation of cholesterol and blood pressure targets where clinically appropriate. Our emphasis is on meaningful clinical insight and shared decision-making, with clear options for implementation either privately or in collaboration with your NHS GP.

Clear Reporting & Next Steps

After your assessment, you receive a structured written report summarising your history, examination findings and laboratory results. Your cardiovascular risk category is explained in straightforward terms, alongside practical recommendations tailored to your profile.

Where further action is advised, we outline your options, which may include lifestyle measures, monitoring, medication discussion or referral. These assessments complement NHS care and do not replace ongoing general practice services.

Health Assessment FAQ

What is the difference between the Health Assessment and the Advanced Health Assessment?
The Health Assessment provides a focused cardiometabolic review, including blood pressure, examination and core blood testing with cardiovascular risk calculation. The Advanced Health Assessment includes a broader systems review, comprehensive examination and enhanced cardiovascular risk interpretation, with extended consultation time and more detailed reporting.
In most cases, fasting is not required. If fasting is recommended based on your specific tests, we will advise you in advance.
Both assessments include cholesterol profile, glucose control, kidney and liver function, thyroid testing and selected nutritional markers. The Advanced Health Assessment includes additional cardiovascular markers where clinically appropriate.
These assessments are focused on cardiovascular and general medical risk rather than comprehensive cancer screening. If there are specific concerns or symptoms, a dedicated GP consultation may be more appropriate.
If results fall outside the expected range, we explain the significance clearly and outline your options. This may include monitoring, lifestyle modification, medication discussion or referral. Where appropriate, we provide documentation to support shared care with your NHS GP.
Where clinically appropriate, treatment options can be discussed during your results consultation. Medication may be initiated privately or implemented through your NHS GP following shared decision-making.
Yes. You will receive a structured written report which you can share with your NHS GP if you wish. We aim to complement existing care rather than replace it.
If you have an established condition such as hypertension, diabetes or heart disease, this assessment can provide an additional review of risk factors. However, it does not replace ongoing management through your usual GP or specialist.
Blood test results are usually available within a few working days. Your follow-up appointment will be scheduled to allow sufficient time for full review and interpretation.
Yes. If you decide you would prefer the more detailed assessment, this can usually be arranged prior to your appointment, dependent on our other diary commitments.

We recommend having a health check every 1 to 3 years, depending on individual circumstances.

No. These assessments are designed to complement, not replace, ongoing NHS care.
