Dr Andy Sewart is an experienced GP who provides clinical assessment and consultations for patients attending Northern Medical Practitioners.
He graduated from Liverpool Medical School and has lived and worked in the North East since 2008. During his early medical career he gained extensive experience in orthopaedics and rheumatology before completing his training in general practice.
Dr Sewart has worked in NHS general practice since 2011 and is currently the Senior Partner at Bellingham Practice in Northumberland. In his NHS role he leads the minor surgery and joint injection services within the practice.
At Northern Medical Practitioners he provides consultations for a range of conditions including musculoskeletal problems and joint pain, men’s health concerns and general medical assessments. He is often the first point of contact for patients seeking advice before treatment or procedures within the clinic.
Dr Sewart has also undertaken training in focused shockwave therapy and offers this treatment for suitable musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr Sewart is known for his thoughtful and thorough consultations and for taking time to explain conditions and treatment options clearly.
